Marseille and its region have chosen to be firmly focused on the future and new technologies. In this way, they have developed the Belle de Mai media centre , hosting a multimedia and audiovisual business incubator within a site combining heritage, cultural creation and education.

The Aix-Marseille Academy has developed the Observatory for multimedia resources in education as well as a cultural and educational multimedia incubator.
